Contemplation is the highest expression of man’s intellectual and spiritual life. It is that life itself, fully awake, fully active, fully aware that it is alive. It is a spiritual wonder. It is spontaneous awe at the sacredness of life, of being. It is gratitude for life, for awareness and for being.
When you fall in love everything looks beautiful, because in those moments you don’t put conditions. Two persons move near each other unconditionally. Once they have settled, once they have started taking each other for granted, then conditions are imposed: “You should be like this, you should be like that, only then will i love"—as if love is a bargain.
Living our life fully and deeply requires courage. If we cannot be happy right now, we need to ask ourselves why. We need to find out what it is. What’s weighing us down or pulling us away from the present moment?
